ANALYSIS OF EXPENDITURE OF TOURISTS TO THE ATTRACTIONS OF THE WATERFALL SIKULIKAP KARO

Abstract

The presence of tourism will foster economic business mutually arranging and supporting the activities of tourism that can increase the income of the community. The province of North Sumatra became one of the tourist center which offers a wide variety of attractions like beautiful lakes, natural attractions and the natural landscape. Natural Attractions Waterfall Sikulikap is one of the natural attractions that draw, supported the view of nature as a tourism object which has not been managed well. This study was conducted to analyze the expenditure of tourists to the attractions of the waterfall Sikulikap in Karo District. This research is quantitative descriptive analysis with a total sample of 115 people who are travelers with collection techniques sample random sampling. As for the results of the study are 1). Income significantly influence the Spending of Tourists to the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap and is a variable dominant influence Spending to the Attractions of the Waterfall Sikulikap. 2). Mileage significantly influence the Spending of Tourists to the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap, 3). The source of Information significantly influence the Spending of tourists to the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap, 4). The vehicle Used significantly influence the Spending of Tourists to the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap and 5). Consumption significant effect on the Expenditure of Tourists to the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap Karo. As for the suggestions of the research are : 1). The Regional government of Kabupaten Karo, it is advisable to be able to improve the management of tourism with more emphasis culture, the naturalness of the attraction, and revamping the infrastructure to attractions, 2) so that the Manager of the Tourist attraction Waterfall Sikulikap Karo gives attention to the people in the tourist attraction waterfall Sikulikap to motivate the community, banking cooperation in adding to the income of the community, to make a breakthrough in the form of information on social media and encourage tourism entrepreneurs and BPW can cooperate in promoting tourism waterfall Sikulikap and 3). The next researcher is expected to develop this research by adding other variables not examined in this study.
